Lord Lovat Dinner

Dress: Formal Highland Attire, Mess Kit, Black Tie or Ladies equivalent

The second formal dinner of the social calendar is the Lord Lovat Dinner.  The evening will begin with a champagne and sherry reception featuring traditional piping by members of the Calgary Garrison 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band.  Chef Kenneth Titcombe has planed a sumptuous five course dinner to be served with the traditional address to the Haggis, accompanied by white and red wine.  Dinner will also feature piping and dancing interludes by the Garrison Pipe Band.  The customary toasts will be offered after dinner, accompanied by port and snuff, followed by coffee and tea.

Pan Seared Fillet of Arctic Char Triangles on Wilted Arugula with Lemon Horseradish Beurre Blanc

Granite of the Frasers Colours – Lemon Basil on Tangerine & Mandarin Orange on Lime

Whole Roasted Alberta Beef Tenderloin and Scotch Whiskey Braised Veal Cheek, Sour Cream Mashed Agria Potato, Roasted Parsnip, Baby Carrot, Cippolini Onion
